2022 Addie's Sparkles Release

When you meet her, you'll find Addie has more sparkle than the wine itself. Adeline Smith, age 9, is the daughter of our Associate Winemaker Wade Smith. Since 2017, Adeline has crafted a different label for each vintage of our sparkling program through of variety of drawing and painting techniques, transforming them into coveted collectibles. This year, Adeline Smith used pastels to capture this unique moment at Reustle: The Scottish Highlanders had briefly escaped their pen and stood majestically in front of Prayer Rock Vineyard just long enough to take a photo, which Addie used to memorialize the moment in this painting. We proudly offer Addie’s Sparkles, made in the traditional Champagne method. (Special thanks to Grace Evans for her help on this artwork.) About the Wine
Composed of 100% Grüner Veltliner, this wine received 12 months of Sur Lees aging (the process of aging with yeast still in the bottle.) This prolonged contact with dead yeast may sound offensive, but rest assured, this adds nuance and elevates the complexity of the wine. .png)
